THE FOURTH REGIMENT WAS CONPRISED OF TROOPS FROM BLADEN, RICHMOND, SAMPSON, ANSON, COLUMBUS, CUMBERLAND, MOORE AND ROBESON COUNTIES OF NC. "The details of his life have been lost in the misty haze of an unchartered past. But it is known that he was a planter upon a large scale, and that he was a general of North Carolina militia.
